This is a Korean language program which was made by KBS, but now it’s not on.

The season ended, but they provide the VOD service.

You need an Id and Password to watch this.

I’m not sure if they provide mp3 files for ‘let’s speak Korean’ program on Arirang.

I know there are some available for recent shows but I didn’t see the whole bunch.

I found this thing recently and I thought this would be helpful for learning Korean.

Check this out.

This site sends you a mail daily.

The mail is usally very moving and makes you appreciate what you have or you will learn something from others’ lives.

But even without joining as a member, you can see the contents from the link above.

There are several message boards.

Go to 외국어 새벽편지. It has English, Chinese and Japanese version of the same story along with Korean version. So you can choose your favorite language and read some good stories whenever you want. (They provide audio files for each language, which is not useful for learning Korean but good for your mental health)

If you want to listen to Korean audio file, go to 음성 새벽편지 board.

You can listen to it with your ears while you read it with your eyes.

I’m curious if this thing is helpful or not. 

제 1 장 표기의 기본 원칙
제 1 항 : 국어의 로마자 표기는 국어의 표준 발음법에 따라 적는 것을 원칙으로 한다.     제 2 항 : 로마자 이외의 부호는 되도록 사용하지 않는다.

			(1) 이름에서 일어나는 음운 변화는 표기에 반영하지 않는다.

			(2) 성의 표기는 따로 정한다.
		제 5 항 : ‘도, 시, 군, 구, 읍, 면, 리, 동’의 행정 구역 단위와 ‘가’는 각각 ‘do, si, gun, gu, eup, myeon, ri, dong, ga’ 로 적고, 그 앞에는 붙임표(-)를 넣는다. 붙임표(-) 앞뒤에서 일어나는 음운 변화는 표기에 반영하지 않는다.

		제 8 항 : 학술 연구 논문 등 특수 분야에서 한글 복원을 전제로 표기할 경우에는 한글 표기를 대상으로 적는다. 이때 글자 대응은 제2장을 따르되 ‘ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㄹ’은 ‘g, d, b, l’로만 적는다. 음가 없는 ‘ㅇ’은 붙임표(-)로 표기하되 어두에서는 생략하는 것을 원칙으로 한다. 기타 분절의 필요가 있을 때에도 붙임표(-)를 쓴다.

Here are great Korean grammar books for foreigners.

These two volume  are put together by the National Institue of the Korean Langugae.

This is probably the first Korean grammar book for foreigners in Korean.

I know there is one grammar book for international student by Yonsei.

But this one will be a lot more helpful except it’s written in Korean.

Even though they are written in Korean, many examples will show you how it works.

Inductive learning? tha’t the term maybe.

The first book is with more explanation about Korean language in general.

The second book is with usage for all grammtical items in Korean language such as ‘-던데’ ‘-으면’ ‘이니’… This book has about 900 pages. It’s more like a reference book. You use it like a dicationary, you can’t just go though every singgle page of this book.
