Let’s learn and practice Korean

Moving to another website

Hi, everyone.

I’m moving this site to another home.

This web service is not user-friendly, at least to me.

It is impossible to embed video files here, and was hard to attach an image, too.

And I coudn’t change the color of the text, which I needed very much to emphasize things.

And the writing feature was not familiar to many people.

This is the new address of my home.

I could’ve set up a community at google or MSN which might be more familiar to non-Koreans like you.

But I intentionally set up a community at a Korean website, Naver.

The content is open to everybody, so you can read everything without registering.

But if you want to write a post or comment, you have to register for Naver first and join the community. During this process you may struggle to get it through, but at the same time you will learn how to register at a Korean website and there are many essential and useful terms to know.

But still there’s one more option for you, you can read posts over there and you can leave questions or comments here. I’m notified whenever there’s new message.

I hope to see you there.

Bye.

  1. wow, I was quite “lost” in the new place…..experiencing pop-ups blocking even I have click to allow pop-ups from the site……might need some time to get used to it….Would you be keeping this site open for communication for a while?

  2. Sure, I will keep this site open forever, I’m just telling that I can’t update new things here. But I’ll do come back from time to time to help you through out the process.
If you have problems and you can’t figure them out, just ask here. I’ll do whatever I can do.

  3. Sorry about the trouble.
But I’m sure I’ll provide better content there through easier and convenient tools and I hope we all have better communication there.

  11. I’m sorry to see that you are shutting down this blog. I enjoyed your blog very much. Unfortunately I won’t be registering with Naver as I will not give them my passport number. What do they need it for anyhow. It’s bad enough that I would be required to give my 등록번호.

sorry it took so long to post this message - commitments other than language learning keep getting in the way.

  12. …I’ve tried the Korean sites and being American makes it impossible with some sites because of some information requested and required does not exist. Irrespective, I gave this new blog page a shot and it’s too difficult also.

(by the way, your image there (http://cafefiles.naver.net/data27/2007/6/25/96/langue.jpg) is missing the letter “r”.

  13. Hi, Jesse. I know it’s quite difficult for foreigners to register any Korean websites. That’s why I made all posts in new Naver community approachable to anyone, in other words, you can read all post without even being a member. Anyway, if you want, I can help you with the registration process with Naver. Are you in Korea?

Before we can fix anything, you can read post over there and if you want to leave any comment or questions, you can leave them here.
